  2. on your My Homemade Gesso Recipe from aj arts and designs webpage, is this stuff archival like? in other words does it last and if so how long? (no yellowing, cracking, etc) also how long does it last in the jar as long as it is sealed tight? thanks i couldnt see anyway to ask this question on that site or anywhere else on this blog!

  3. Hi Cindy,
I am not sure of the archival quality (i.e. 50 or more years), I have been using this for a while (over 5 years) and haven’t had a problem with paint peeling or flaking. I have never had cracking or yellowing when I use it. As long as the jar is sealed it should be good, air tight containers are best for this but I have also used old peanut butter jars. You will have to remix everything because it does separate. I hope this helps and let me know if you have and more questions.

    Manda 🙂
