Wow it is Wednesday – HOLY CRAP!!!!
I am working on a ton of stuff relating to my Graphic Design Project (I am going to do a sneak peak of the design project). I also have a cute V-day Card started (not a fan of hearts or V-Day but it is the right thing to do).
Logo Design for Savannah Traveller. We were going for a simple logo that would look good on letterhead, business cards and anything else. Sixteen designs later this was the one that was picked.
Sample template of the design. The map is way to big and is only 75% finished so I am not going to show it. Considering my laptop is chugging away like a small train up a large hill – I keep saying “I think I can, I think I can!” I will be getting a new computer in the next couple of weeks I am making the move to a MAC – I am so excited and a little scared because I need to get Photoshop, Illustrator and Fire Works for a Mac. Not to mention Windows 2011, I hope that I am able to find them cheap on Ebay. I am a little hesitant on purchasing an opened box from Ebay because of the licensing of Adobe. I am so afraid I will get screwed some how but spending $1000 on a design program is a little out of my price range. I also don’t qualify for the Student or Teacher Edition of Creative Design Suite (and Adobe does check this). I am hoping to find a reasonably priced CS3 or CS4 and then when CS6 comes out in another year or so making that jump. I see much more design work in my future so I know this investment will pay off.
My Valentine’s Day Card made from an old cereal box. I covered the box with a parchment type of paper then used red and fuchsia stamp pad to stamp around the hearts. I also sprayed the card with my homemade red glimmer mist. The hearts were cut out of an old cereal box then covered with metal tape. I Zetangled the metal tape hearted with an embossing tool, then covered it with ink from the stamp pads.
I plan on doing some calligraphy on it but I am not sure what. I am pretty happy with it so far.
So that is what I am working on this week. I am also making sugar cookies for a Super Bowl Party this weekend (50 PACKERS Logos – lol!) I hope to actually have some finished pieces to show soon
