I admit I am distracted by shiny objects in the Craft aisle and the PLAID Extreme Glitter Paint was no exception. I bought four colors and love each and everyone of them. I however wish there was more colors. I don’t have a lot of glitter in my craft supply section actually I have only one little thing of fine glitter and it is a light pink. I always save my old craft paint bottles because you never know when you will need them. I decided to try and make my own Glitter Paint (I am calling it B-Bip © Glitter Paint). I took some Liquitex Matte Medium, some light pink Fairy Dust glitter and mixed it together in my bottle. I am a little disappointed in myself that I didn’t think of this before I bought the paint. I will say I am excited about the fact I discovered it now because now I can make any color I want.
The other thing is you can use as much or as little glitter as you want. With most of my experimentation – I guess, that is what I did with this. I used maybe a 1/4 to a 1/2 of a 14 gms jar of Pink Diamond – JoAnn Craft Essentials Fairy Dust Glitter for a 2 fl oz container, poured in the Matte Medium and shook the bottle. Very scientific indeed 🙂
I am quite pleased with the result:
Sorry about the quality of the picture, I can’t get my scanner hooked up to the MAC, so I had to take a picture.
