I love homemade bread there is something about making bread that screams fall. You do not need the fancy bread machine to make this recipe. I do have a bread hook for my Kitchen Aid mixer which makes my life super easy (I hate kneading). My recipe come from the Hillbilly House Wife it is the easiest bread recipe I have found. Since she has it typed and a print option I am not going to retype it. I make this all the time in the fall and winter. I need to make extra and freeze some for next summer because there is nothing like homemade bread with fresh tomato sandwiches – the problem is we love it so much I need to make a ton of it (like a loaf a week for the summer).
Like I said I do not knead bread dough I have a bread hook – I let the Kitchen Aid do the kneading. I let it knead for about 5-8 minutes until everything is mixed together and wraps in a nice ball around the hook. I have made it with honey, brown sugar, and sugar – all are fantastic it just depends what you are in the mood for or what you have on hand. The honey does make the bread sweeter and is really good!
My kids, Jeff and I all love this easy bread recipe and I hope you do too.
