Tasty Fat Tuesday!

I really wanted to try to make Gluten Free King Cake for Fat Tuesday.  I LOVE King Cake it is a little bit of heaven and if you are lucky you get the gold baby (I do have a gold baby from a REAL King Cake he sits on my desk).  Instead I decided to try my hand at Gluten Free Cinnamon Buns.  First let me state I have never made cinnamon buns in my life so this was a new exciting adventure for me.

I used the recipe on the side of the Bob’s Red Mill Pizza Bag – it can be found here.

As you can see even with all the Rice Flour I used it still stuck in places.

They look really sad in the pan before baking. I admit I was a tad disappointed.

I want to add my own notes the biggest one is make sure you use A LOT of rice flour on the wax paper.  Rice flour does not work like regular flour so more is needed.  It took me a while to make because I had no idea how many cups were on the bag until I finally looked it up on-line (3 1/4 coups = 1 bag).  I will be making these again because they are fantastic!

In honor of Mardi Gras I wanted to share my earrings I made using the same technique as the Mustache Heart Earrings. I will be wearing them for many Mardi Gras to come!
