Lavender Easter Wreath

I really wanted to make an Easter Wreath this year.  Altered Pages does a Challenge every month and I always say I get around to it.  This month’s challenge is lavender and I always think of Easter when I hear lavender.  I think it stems from the lavender flowered Easter dress I had as a kid.

I made the wreath the same way I did the heart wreath, with the tinfoil base and newspaper.  I took purple cotton fabric and wrapped the base.  The flowers were white and I took Tim Holtz Distressed Ink – Dusty Concord and colored them purple.   Taking purple tulle I flushed out the flowers and created a rosette for the bunny.  The bunny and chicks are from Easter Images AP-400 from Altered Pages.  The lavender letters can be found on their Facebook Page.  I added 3D Crystal Lacquer to the bunny and chicks to protect them from the elements.

I am extremely pleased with my wreath and the Princess loves the lavender.
