I am sitting here in shock and absolute disbelief on what is happening in DC. I will call it what it is an attempted coup d’état done by terrorist. I have stated many times these people are in a cult, this action proves to me they are in a cult. I wonder if Nazism would have been classified as a cult? I mean people were brainwashed into believing bad things and doing bad things, it was a cult. Trumpism is a cult, he has brainwashed people to believing he is essentially the second coming of Christ. Unborn babies will be free to grow up to kids nobody gives a damn about, the rich will get richer, while the common folk get whatever crumbs are left over.
I always wondered how I would’ve acted during the Holocaust. Would I risked my own life, my family’s life to help people? In a way being a poll worker answered that for me, damn straight. I never thought something so meaningless would invoke such patriotism, I feel if anyone attacks the elections they are acting my patriotism. I am not a flag wearing, crazy patriotic person (the sweater and the sock are the only patriotic things I own, I did make some amazing red, white and blue shoes several years ago) but I don’t wear a lapel pin. I also am aware I am violating flag etiquette every time I where it my sweater and socks. I do love my country and today hurts, I am disappointed because members of Congress have not denounced the President. Call him out! Impeach his ass again! Invoke the 25th Amendment, we cannot afford 14 more days of this. If GOP Senators and Representatives care about the constitution they would impeach him again for TREASON! If members of his cabinet cared about this country they would enact the 25th amendment immediately. What is happening is not okay!
The whole Civil War from 1860-1865 a Confederate flag NEVER flew in the capitol. Matter of fact one has NEVER flown in the US Capitol until today! Abraham Lincoln is rolling over in his grave because the party he founded is responsible for this. A man who tried so hard to keep the Union together, his party is tearing it apart. I hope Lincoln’s ghost messes with Trump tonight, think of the Christmas Carole but they are all the last ghost, showing him his future in jail! What Donald Trump is doing is TREASON, if any Republican had a spine now is the time to find it! You can’t be the Party of Lincoln and sit by why insurrectionists try to over throw a newly elected government.
I want every single person caught on video, arrested and tried for terrorism. I want every member of Congress who incited this to be expelled from Congress. I want the police officers taking selfies with the terrorists fired and tried as accessories to terrorism (not sure if that is a thing). I want Trump to be banned from Twitter, impeached again, have the 25th amendment invoked, tried for treason and go to prison. He has hurt this country, it will take years to heal (hell in some parts of the south the Civil War isn’t over). What has happened today, has left a horrible stain on the US reputation for democracy. We are no longer that beckon of hope and democracy. The only way we can begin to heal and fix what has been shattered is people being held accountable.

First of all no Democrats have ever stormed the Capitol building, even when they won the 2000 & 2016 election (how easy people forget). Second of all if you have ever read my blog and it is obvious you have not you would know how I feel about looting and violence protests. Finally you lost, as I was told in 2000 & 2016 – get over it!
