Fairy House

Saturday was the Fairy House building at Oatland Island. Jillian had a blast, I also had fun! It was the first year they did this so the age groups were quite large 0-7, 8-13, and 14 + and they only had 1 prize for first place. I think they should have had ribbons for all the kids for entering, 1,2,3 places and they ages should have been 0-5, 6-8, 9-13, and 14 + maybe next year they will have different way of doing things. My reasoning for the age groups is because 6 year-olds tend to be more independent and want to do stuff on their own, 5 year-olds still need help from a parent. Of course the judge is going to give it to the older kid because they know the younger ones got help (I helped Jillian but did not build it for Jillian, she built it!) I also was a little disappointed because it said NO LIVE FLOWERS and the winning house had live flowers on it, that was disappointing because it didn’t follow the rules. Jillian had fun and that was all that mattered. Here are the photos of our Fairy House!
