October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer. Early detection is key to survival. Encourage the women in your life to get their mammograms, do their self breast examines and most important if they find something see a doctor!
I know I want the women in my life around for a long, long time!
I know several survivors and am grateful everyday that they are still around. I also know people who were not so lucky and I miss them every day.
Don’t forget to squeeze the girls, call your doctor if you find something and wear something pink to show your support! Early detection is key and maybe some day soon there will be a cure for this and all cancers!
