Before I start this post I want to take a minute and thank all those men and women who have served this country. Thank you because of your sacrifice and your families sacrifice. Happy Veteran’s Day!
Wow, so one year ago I decided to create an Arts and Crafts Blog mainly to keep track of my projects. My first blog post was Christmas Gifts for Babies. After reading my first blog post I realized I never posted those templates (oops, my bad – I will at it to my HUGE To-Do List) and wow that was one confusing post with all those photos being all wonky. I would like to think I have gotten better over this past year in my writing and instructional capabilities. After reading that first post I will have to say, yes I have improved – I can’t believe people decided to Follow me – thank you, by the way.
I get asked quite frequently where the name of my blog came from. I chose the name “Who Are You Calling Crafty?” because I don’t consider myself “crafty” I consider myself “artsy” – lol! I thought it was a clever name and it showed my sense of humor. I guess some people might disagree with the second line of my title “easy crafts for those who don’t consider themselves crafty.” I am aware that not all my projects are easy (my cakes or paintings) but I like to think that my kids projects are fun, easy and educational. I think over this past year I have managed to get my blog to where I want it to be. I am happy with all 105 Followers I have and I don’t foresee myself pimping my blog out for more Followers in the near feature. There was a time I was obsessed with Followers but what is a Follower who doesn’t read my blog. I honestly don’t know how many people actually read my blog (I would love to think everyone does) I know that is not the case. Would I love to have this amazing blog with 10,000 Followers – HELL YES!!! I am realistic and realize I have to start somewhere. This is my first anniversary of my Art Blog and I have a 105 people following me. So that means it will take me 100 years to achieve my goal if I average 105 people a year (I think more pimping might be in order – lol!)
I am happy writing about my endeavors and always love feedback both good and bad! I love doing the Tasty Tuesday Post – I LOVE FOOD! I have been thinking about doing a Finish it Fridays but that would mean I would actually have to finish stuff – lol! I also want to add a recipe page to my blog so everyone would be able to find the recipes in one place. I like to think of my blog as a performance piece – because it is evolving daily depending on the mood I am when I write a specific post.
I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read about my crazy adventures. My goal is to make them as humorous as possible (some are very personal and tend to be on the sad side – sorry). It is also to catalog my difficulties and successes with a certain project. I hope to be able to keep up this blog for a very, very long time (I see more pimping in my future – lol!)
