Welcome to your next stop on the Festive Friday Blog Hop. You should have just came from Chris Hurley’s blog – Stinky Dog Designs.
Card number two is based on my theme for my Christmas Cards this year, which is Snow. The card is 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” when folded and was constructed on Baby Blue card stock. The snowflake stamp (I have no idea where I got it or who made it, I got it from a friend in a bag 15 years ago) was stamped with Turquoise, Blue and Watermark Ink (Dye Based). The silver was embossed with iridescent embossing powder. The snow flake embellishments were made from Shrink Art Paper and I added Glitter Glue to the Shrink Art. The square is 140# Cold Press Beinfang Watercolor paper that I stamped with Dye Based ink pads (Blue and Turquoise). I then drew a snowflake on the backside and cut out the snowflake and used my small punch to add the other holes. I took Metal Tape and did sticky side up, so I could push the tape through the cut pieces and then added silver glitter. I embellished the square with the Metal Tape. I also used my Metal Punches 1/8” Punches to tap out LET IT SNOW. I took my Tim Holtz Distress Broken China around the outside of the card. Due to the Metal Tape it was really hard to photograph this card – it looks brownish opposed to silver, changing the overall appearance of the card. I tried several different ways to photograph it and finally just used the scan I did because it came out the best.
