I love bread, I love pasta, I love pretty much anything with carbs. Comfort food for me is a loaf of fresh baked bread with peanut butter. Recently I have noticed after eating bread I feel like crap. I felt the same way before I reluctantly gave up dairy (mostly milk and ice cream, I am unwilling to give up cheese and yogurt). So I sit here trying to figure out if I really want to make that jump (when I make this jump it will be HUGE – I eat a PB&J for at least three times a week). There are so many things I said I would never do that I have done recently, running, enjoying exercising, giving up ice cream (I have a half of a pint of Ben and Jerry’s in my freezer and I don’t even want it). To me the last statement is unimaginable because the old me would suffered through any amount of pain to finish a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.
I joke with Jeff that I am running out of food to eat and if I go Gluten Free I will have nothing fun to eat. The more I research this subject the more I think I need to go gluten free especially when after I eat bread I feel awful. It won’t happen immediately probably in the new year but if you start seeing more gluten free recipes from me it is because I made the jump to gluten free. I do like my gluten free Rice Krispies so if nothing else I will be eating those with my Almond Milk in the morning.
It will be a fun little adventure if nothing else I will have something to blog about. I just hope the recipes I pick are actually good because that would make me terribly sad if it turns out to be crap, lol.
