Who Are You Calling Crafty?

So progress on the bathroom has been worse than slow.  We got the walls painted and tried to install the light fixture to find this:

Yes that is my electrical wires in my house going through a beam in my bathroom.

Which lead to this:

Giant hole to install an outlet box.  The whole Fire Code thing bothered me.

And Jeff helped me install the light (because I am just short enough that it wasn’t going smoothly.

Then we were installing the vanity and the measurements were a 1/2″ off (the vanity was mislabled).  So I had to remove the base board to get the vanity in only to find this:

Yes that is mold

Which lead to the toilet being removed.

And the floor being removed (the one thing I didn’t want to do). I did find out the floor was original to the house and not the replacement floor which I thought. So the floor was 20 years old.

So there you have what I have been doing this week my simple faucet replacement is now a full blown DIY project with two kids (one a Booga).  Once my bathroom is finished I plan on having a major post.  Happy Friday – I am installing a floor.
