Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is a day to reflect on what we are most thankful for (family and friends) and to remember those who are not with us this Holiday Season (we miss you everyday).  Remember to hug, laugh and create memories today because once we are all gone that is all that is left.  I would like to think I have created memories and traditions with my children that I hope are carried on for generations to come.  As we sit down and stuff ourselves with turkey remember to be thankful for the company you keep and the food you are eating because so many are without.  Remember the Holidays are a joyous time and it is important to sit back relax and enjoy the season because it isn’t about the must haves of the season it is about the spirit of giving and the time you spend with your loved ones.  I will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a small gathering of friends (my family) on Saturday, I am cooking lunch/dinner with all the trimmings and I am so grateful for each and everyone of them.  We decided to do it on Saturday because Jeff usually has to work, in hindsight we could have done it on Thursday but I like the idea of everyone we invited being able to make it.  I have a feeling this might become a yearly thing and I would be okay with that because I now remember why I love the holidays.  It isn’t because of the fancy gifts (granted some have been really, really cool) but it is because of our family and friends.  I want to thank everyone who reads my blog and I hope you have been as blessed as I have this past year.  I can’t wait for the new year and all the exciting things for the garden and ideas that I have.  I hope you will continue this journey with me I know I am having a blast and I hope you are too!

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours Smile
