Where Have I Been (Besides Pinterest)?

Greetings everyone,

I wanted to drop in and say hi and that I have not dropped off the face of the planet even though it seems that way.  I have been working and I absolutely love my job, I spend all day outside by a pool, talking about an amazing city, and creating crafts.  It is truly an amazing job and I really do love it, I have been there a little over a month and have done some amazing projects.

Easter was fun, I drew the short straw and was the Easter Bunny.  I did have a little old man grab my behind and ask, “Where my cotton tail was?”

After Easter was Earth Day.  We made edible Truffula Trees of Make Your Own Pixie Stix it was a simple fun craft.  The Lorax book and stuffed animal I brought from home to complete my little display.

Girl Scouts is over for the year.  My girls accomplished six badges so they did work their little tails off this year.  I also started them on their seventh badge – Pets.  This is the Bird Feeder we made for our last meeting.

This was our last project for Girl Scouts this year. A Bird Feeder made using Elmer's Extreme Glue. I bought it because I was skeptical that it would work on wood. It does and it is my new favorite glue.

I really have a huge problem with unfinished stuff, this tree has been in progress for over a month.  I was told a couple Fridays ago to finish it, I had till Monday to finish it.  I finished both signs and the tree in a little over 8 hours split between two days.  It looks amazing in person and since I didn’t want to spend time hiding where it is, I decided to post the washed out picture instead.

A few people at work knew I painted. Now after this little project everyone knows I paint.

Of course we had to celebrate May the Fourth and we did it in style.  Nothing like Jedi Bubble training, followed by more Jedi Training in the Splash Pad and Thumb Doodles.  I will say this day was probably our biggest participation day yet, everyone loved it.

My sign for May the Fourth. Yes that is a white board and yes that is the Admiral.

Of we also did Cinco de Mayo – Mustache Straws.  I must have easily cut out 75 of these.  Everyone wanted one and then they would order a margarita to celebrate.  Huge hit not just with the kids but for the adults too!

Mustache Straws for Cinco de Mayo. This was a huge, cheesy hit! Everyone who got one wanted at least one margarita. This is also what happens when you discover the laminating machine at work.

If you follow me on Pinterest you will find I have been crazy recently.  I admit I have, I have revamped my boards mainly for ideas for work and am in the process of adding new How-tos on here.  How to make Mustaches, The Bird Feeder and a couple other projects we have done recently.  I love it my job but I also miss my blog so I am going to try to blog a little more or at least once a week.

On another note my first quarter of school is finished and I did awesome in my first Business class ever (98.77% without my final assignment added in, thinking I may squeak in with a 99%, which would be cool).
