“I am pleased and happy to repeat the news…”

Yep, I partially quoted Mayor Larry Vaughn from Jaws. Our governor decided to soft open our state this today. Still practicing social distancing but you can get a haircut, manicure, pedicure, tattoo, massage, access to the gym, and in restaurant dining. Oh and we are still under a stay at home order, this makes no sense. Go out and get a massage but they can’t be within 6 feet of you, not a massage I want to pay for. Our state has over 18,000 COVID-19 and sadly over 700 people have died. I personally don’t think this is a good idea, we need to stay home through April. I am afraid this is going to spike everything in our state and it will be as bad as New York.

Not our governor, headline is true

Yes, our governor opened the beaches during a stay at home order. He also said he had no idea how COVID-19 spreads, my 10 year old knows how it spreads. I am quite shocked by this because cases in our state have not gone down, there has not been a plateau. Anything over 100 cases should not be opening up. I personally love the wording local mayors can’t do anything about this. Our local leadership have done everything to keep us safe, you are a yes man for the President and don’t give a damn about us.

What happens if we open everything? We are going to have a second wave and that second wave is going to be awful. You are going to open everything only to close it in a couple weeks? Why? When we are all home now? This makes no sense to me. Why put people’s lives at risk? Why hurt businesses more than what they have been? If these businesses close a second time, many won’t reopen. Help businesses, give them the small business loans they need. Stop giving the money to large corporations! What about unemployment? We get called back to work and there isn’t any (maybe 15 hours) we can’t pay our bills on that. Our governor has shown no leadership, he is a puppet for the President.

I leave you with this. Don’t forget to vote in November.
